President’s Message

              In today’s world of global competition, we, at S.D.College, Hoshiarpur have

striven hard to meet with the challenges of the 21^st century.  The endeavour has been to

make ourselves abreast of the growing needs and aspiration of all walks of life.  We

have a lofty vision of converting this institution into one of the foremost Educational

centres of excellence where the careers would be chiselled through a mating of modernity

with ancient wisdom of the Vedas.

            It’s a matter of immense pleasure to interact with you through this media channel.

I deem it my proud privilege to be the principal of this premier co-educational institution,

which has grown over the years into a name to be reckoned with. Enshrined in the eternal

philosophy of  Sanatan Dharama and Vedic culture, the college is relentlessly engaged in

dispelling darkness of ignorance and  amelioration of all segments of society, especially

 the under-privileged. The college in a very short span of thirty years has become a formidable

 choice for students .  Under the inspired guidance and patronage of  Her Holiness Smt. Sneh

Amrit Anand Bhrigu Shastri (President), the college is making giant strides  in the field of higher

education, sports,culture and extension work. Through her and other distinguished members of

management, the college is making all out efforts to translate the lofty dreams of its founders

 The college has a very distinguished and experienced faculty in Commerce, Arts & Computer

Applications, which has earned a place of pride in society. The college, over the years, has

produced numerous outstanding scholars, sports persons ,administrative officers and managers

who after imbibing the  humane cultural growth, have spread throughout the country and

abroad to become torch-bearers of society. The  highest priority and commitment of the

college is to create the most competitive atmosphere so that its alumni become fully prepared

to meet the challenges of 21st century.

            Since the Govt. has started withdrawing its financial aid to the privately-managed

colleges, the colleges are facing acute financial crises .We request all our well-wishers ,friends,

 supporters &  alumni to help this institution so as to enable us to give concrete shape to our

cherished dreams.
